The app isn't hearing the words

• Check the permissions. Hop Tales needs the microphone and speech recognition. You can turn both back on in the Settings app, under Hop Tales.
• Find a quieter spot. A TV, music or a busy room makes words harder to hear. The app lets the grown-up know when it's too noisy.

Progress on a new device

Progress stays on the device unless a grown-up turns on saving to iCloud in the app's settings. With it on, progress follows the reader to other iPhones and iPads signed in to the same Apple account. It can take a little while to arrive.

Privacy

Speech is recognised on the device and never recorded or sent anywhere. The Privacy Policy has the details.
